Dendrobium nobile, also known as the noble dendrobium, is a popular decorative houseplant in the orchid family Orchidaceae. Its colorful lushes winter and spring blooms make it a sought-after addition to indoor gardens. Additionally, it has been used for centuries in traditional Chinese medicine, where it is known as shĆ­ hĆŗ or shĆ­ hĆŗ lĆ”n. Originating from southern China, the Himalayas, and Indochina, it is also naturalized in Hawaii and is the state flower of Sikkim
