Oeceoclades are a rare African terrestrial orchid native to Madagascar, usually found in deciduous forest and woodlands that is seasonally arid, so it is drought tolerant. It has a unique shape and dark colouring in it's foilage. 

Oeceoclades monophylla has a beautiful pink bloom. Does well potted in sandy or grainy substrate as it is a desert Orchid. Very little information is known about these. There is a dormancy period.
