Tolumnia was previously known as the "equitant oncidiums".  They are still in the Oncidiinae family but the species were segregated from the mega-genus Oncidium by Guido Braem in 1986.  T he species are endemic to the Caribbean Basin with many confined to a single island.  Check out some more resources below
